You can be whoever you want to be

Google Assistant can be a really funny gal

This smart speaker is not just answering queries, but shows great humor too! It can be fun entertainment, a joke or playing a game. It can even talk dirty! If you like that kind of sense of humor. We have 100 funny things for an entertaining response.

You don’t have to spend any money

Google Home entices consumers with its ability to play any song. Sign up to Google Play Music family subscription. It allows 1+5 users – real family or not. Subscription fee divided by six is…only a fractional cost. You can listen to online radio streams, pause or skip tracks but remember names of personalized playlists of tracks you own.

Stick it up on the big screen

It acts as your remote. Tell it to cast a specific TV show or movie to your TV with Netflix or paid-for YouTube Red.

Control all things

Connect any device that supports IFTTT to create your own Applet. Download it free from Play Store. Program the command you want Google home to act. You can select a list of services that work with IFTTT. You can use it to control your home lightings.

Send a text message the lazy way

Dictate a message to Google Home. Most useful for most frequent contacts. After you enter the command, you want Google Home to act upon, select Android SMS, then ‘Send an SMS’. Add a phone number that includes the country code, then tap the tick icon at the top right of the screen.

Don’t lose track of time

Google Home is where the Hearth is. You no longer need to fiddle with oven timers. Just say “Okay Google, set a timer for X minutes.” It’s really simple and quick as well as life changing.

Take notes

Jot down notes or shopping lists with Google Home integrated with Google Keep. Add to your list as and when you think of it. Access your list from Keep app when needed or visiting the supermarket. Just say “Okay Google, add xxx to my shopping list” and it will.

Get physical

If it is ignoring your calls of “Okay Google” or “Hey Google,” tap atop its surface gently. It will then start listening for requests. If you are listening music full volume, you may need to swipe your finger in clockwise or anti-clockwise motion across its top to turn up or down the volume.

Keep tabs on what it’s been up to

My Activity will show you all the requests you and your family make to Google Home. You can see who’s been asking what at any time.

Show it who’s boss

If it plays up, as most virtual reality applications are wont to do, cut off the electricity supply for a few seconds to force it to reboot. Open the Home app on your phone or tablet, select Devices then tap three dots in the top right corner of Home card and select Reboot.

If it’s being especially naughty, use factory reset by pressing and holding the microphone button on the rear for 15 seconds.
